Async Scraping & Data-Engineering Consulting
What this page is
Async paid consulting on production web scraping, data pipelines, and Apify actor architecture. You send a written brief or a code repo, I send back a written analysis, architecture diagram, or working patch within 24–72 hours.
No calls. No screen sharing. No video. Every deliverable is text, code, Markdown, or a recorded screen with on-screen text overlay (no face, no voice). If your problem only resolves on a live call, this is not the right service.
Who this is for
- Solo engineers shipping their first production scraper and hitting rate-limits, proxy rotation, or anti-bot walls they didn't plan for.
- Small data teams whose pipeline broke when the target site changed structure overnight, and they need an outside opinion on whether to patch or rebuild.
- Founders who hired one freelancer for a scraper, got something fragile, and need a second pair of eyes before committing more budget.
- Apify Store sellers stuck below 50 runs/month on an actor that should be at 500+.
What I can credibly help with
- Production scraping at scale. The Trustpilot scraper I publish on the Apify Store is past 962 lifetime production runs. The patterns that survive that volume (and the ones that don't) are what I sell.
- Apify actor architecture. 32 public actors, 79 in the broader portfolio, 2 190 lifetime runs across the catalogue. I know what Apify Console actually charges for, what gets you into Store search, and what gets you ignored.
- Proxy strategy and cost control. Residential vs. datacenter vs. ISP for a specific target site, expected ban rates, retry budgets, and circuit-breaker patterns.
- Pipeline reliability. Idempotency, partial-failure recovery, dead-letter queues, and the exact spot to wire structured logging into a long-running scraper.
- Sponsored-content writing. A recent paid series ran with Proxy-Seller — 3 long-form tutorials, full §11 disclosure, real benchmarks. Article #1 is live on Dev.to.
What I won't help with
- Scraping authenticated areas of a site without the account owner's consent.
- Personal data harvesting (emails, phone numbers, addresses) for cold outreach lists.
- Bypassing CAPTCHAs that protect login flows or paid content walls.
- Anything that requires me to assume the user has permission they probably don't.
If a brief lands in that category I refund the deposit and close the thread. This is non- negotiable; consulting that lasts is consulting that doesn't put either of us in court.
Packages
Single Answer — $150
- One specific written question, one written answer.
- Up to 1 500 words of analysis, plus working code snippets if relevant.
- 24-hour turnaround on weekdays (US/EU business days, anchored UTC).
- Good for: "Why is my Playwright scraper getting CAPTCHA'd on page 40?", "Is residential proxy worth 3× the cost on this target?", "Which Apify actor base-image do I pick?".
Architecture Review — $400
- You send a repo or a written description of the pipeline.
- I send back a written review: what's load-bearing, what's likely to break first, what's over-engineered, and one ranked list of patches.
- Up to 3 000 words plus annotated code diff (Markdown, GitHub-style suggestions).
- 72-hour turnaround.
- Good for: pre-launch scrapers, freelance-built pipelines you inherited, Apify actors stuck at low run counts.
Weekly Retainer — $1 000/week
- Up to five written questions per week, ≤500 words each answer.
- Plus one architecture review or one code-patch per week (whichever you choose, up to 3 000 words).
- Async Slack-Connect, Telegram, or shared Notion — your call.
- Cancel any week with 7 days' notice; unused questions don't roll over.
- Good for: teams in the middle of an active migration or a launch, where one question triggers three more.
How payment works
Two payment paths, your choice:
- Payoneer USD invoice. I send a Payoneer-hosted payment link, you pay by card or ACH, the invoice clears in 1–3 business days. Best for companies with finance teams.
- CryptoBot USDT. I send a CryptoBot invoice over Telegram, you pay USDT-TRC20 or USDT-TON, the invoice clears in minutes. Best for solo founders and crypto- native teams.
No PayPal. No Stripe direct. No bank wire to a Russian account. If your finance team can't process either of the two above, this isn't the right service.
Refund policy
- Single Answer: full refund if the brief turns out to be outside scope before I start work; no refund once the answer is delivered.
- Architecture Review: full refund within 24 hours of payment if I haven't opened the repo yet; 50% refund if I've opened the repo but not yet sent the written review.
- Weekly Retainer: pro-rated refund for unused days if cancelled mid-week, except the first 3 days of the first paid week (covers context-loading).
Process — what happens after you email
- You email spinov001@gmail.com with a one-paragraph problem statement and which package you want.
- I reply within 24 hours with either (a) a Payoneer / CryptoBot invoice link if the brief is in scope, or (b) a "this isn't the right fit, here's where to look instead" note if it isn't.
- Once payment clears, the turnaround clock starts. I send a one-line confirmation when the clock starts.
- Deliverable lands in your inbox as Markdown plus any code as attached files or a private GitHub Gist link.
- One round of clarifying follow-up questions is included in the price. Beyond that, we either renew the package or close the thread cleanly.
Credentials worth checking

- Dev.to Article #1 of the Proxy-Seller sponsored series — 2 320 words, full §11 disclosure, real benchmark data, AI-assistance disclosure block.
